North Texas Giving Day is coming up on September 22, 2022. Our council is collecting clothing items to donate to Genesis Women's Shelter. The thrift store has been making contributions to Dallas for over 20 years. We as a council drop off the items and spend the day working at the thrift store on North Texas Giving Day. The Dallas Fort Worth Council has had a productive month. We started out at the NTRCA Not so Mini Trade Show in Grapevine. The DFW Council has been very busy. We had a successful networking event at Top Golf on 4/28. On May 14th we attended FIDO Fest to support Humane Tomorrow society. We also had an educational event with IB Systems and learned about coatings and PVC. June is going to be really a great month for all things NWiR too. Thank you to all who helped, sponsored and attended the first NWIR DFW Charity Ball. We chose ARC which is The Association for the Recovery of Children. They are an all-encompassing child rescue recovery program. They fight for children who are trafficked, abducted, exploited, abused or kidnapped. Our annual holiday party was a great success. We did a donation drive for Dallas Children's Advocacy Center to provide relief for their growing needs. SRS hosted us at their headquarters where they had a pop-up Kendra Scott booth benefitting the SRS Raise the Roof Foundation. We are so thankful for those who could join us for this fun time of fellowship.

Our DFW Council recently did a shoe drive for an organization called Soles4Souls. Our Community Service committee put this together and worked with everyone to get everything donated. Soles4Souls focuses on providing relief, fighting poverty, the planet and empowering women. They collect new and used shoes to distribute all over the U.S. and around the world. They help people launch and sustain small businesses selling shoes. They protect the environment from old shoes sitting in landfills. [...]
