Board of Directors Opportunities

The National Women in Roofing Board of Directors is comprised of a blend of working committee chairs as well as other key positions that help support and drive forward the mission of the organization. The NWIR Board recently approved substantive governance changes that have created new opportunities for member engagement and growth. Here is an overview of the positions for which you may apply:

  COMMITTEE CHAIR-ELECT POSITIONS
  Under the new governance structure, the Chair-Elect (formerly known as the Vice-Chair) of each committee will not have a formal seat on the board until they roll up into the Chair position. Because they collaborate and work hand-in-hand with the chair, this remains an important role. Also, because this member does transition into the Chair role (and a voting board seat) after 1 year, those desiring a Chair-Elect position must complete the board application in order to be considered.
  
  * Note: Chairs-Elect are welcome to sit-in on the virtual calls in order to stay informed on board happenings; however, the Chair of the committee will attend the in-person meetings and relay the information to the Chair-Elect immediately following. Should the Chair not be able to attend, the Chair-Elect may attend as proxy.
