Sue Drummond has a distinguished career in the roofing industry, blending hands-on experience with a passion for technological innovation. Starting out in a family-owned residential re-roofing company, Sue served as the office administrator, where she implemented consistent sales strategies, revamped office processes for efficiency, and helped promote the business at consumer trade shows and through a strategic partnership with HGTV.
Moving to a larger roofing company with more than fifty crews in commercial, residential and new construction operations, Sue spent time leading the safety, procurement, and service departments. She created and streamlined administrative processes through technology, handled warranty issues, and ensured smooth operations by collaborating with service technicians, subcontractors, and other trades. She also played a critical role in enhancing company safety programs and served as a certified member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
Over the last decade, Sue has been at the forefront of helping roofing contractors adopt technology as the co-founder and head of implementation at a construction safety SaaS company. She designed onboarding processes that drove customer success, maintained a remarkable churn rate of less than 1%, and ensured that end users—from laborers to CEOs—were well-trained in the use of the software.
