Professional Bio
Elizabeth Murphy has an extensive background in the construction industry, serving a variety of diverse roles over the last 35 years from flooring to roofing. For the past nine years she has worked for Sika Sarnafil, specializing in low-slope, single-ply roofing, her current role is technical sales representative to the Boston architectural community.
In addition to her full-time role, she actively contributes to the nonprofit sector, as an active member of the Construction Specifiers Institute (CSI), National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), and National Women in Roofing (NWIR). She currently serves on the board of Directors with CSI Boston, serves as Vice Chair of the Southern New England Council of NWIR, is a member of the education committee for NWIR National and in additional is an active member of the events committee at Sika Corporation.
Additionally, as the Recording Secretary for the Whitman Finance Committee, she plays a key role in supporting fiscal recommendations and ensuring transparency within her community.
She is deeply committed to advancing educational initiatives within the industry, ensuring that knowledge and skills are passed on to the next generation. Beyond her professional and community involvement, she believes true learning comes from an open mind and a genuine desire to explore, #alwaysbecurious
