Maria Mares | Chief Operating Officer, Continental Roofing Company
Maria Mares is the Chief Operating Officer of Continental Roofing Company in Madison, Alabama, where she has spent nearly a decade helping lead the company’s growth, operations, team development, and strategic direction. Since joining Continental Roofing in 2017, Maria has grown from Office Manager into executive leadership, giving her a unique understanding of the roofing industry from both the operational and leadership perspectives.
Maria is passionate about building strong teams, developing people, creating meaningful business relationships, and helping women recognize the opportunities available to them within the roofing and construction industries. Her leadership philosophy centers on the belief that successful companies are built by investing in people, creating strong systems, and developing relationships rooted in trust.
Beyond Continental Roofing, Maria is actively involved in the North Alabama business and construction communities. She serves in leadership roles with the Better Business Bureau of North Alabama and the Huntsville Madison County Builders Association and is an Ambassador with the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber. Through these roles, she has developed a strong network across construction, business development, community leadership, and professional organizations.
Maria is also continuing to invest in her own growth and education, currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Business Management at Faulkner University.
As a member of National Women in Roofing, Maria hopes to contribute her experience in operations, leadership development, strategic partnerships, business development, team culture, community engagement, and organizational growth. She is especially passionate about mentoring and encouraging other women to step confidently into leadership roles within an industry where their voices, perspectives, and talents are incredibly valuable.
