N.E.W.S. (Network of Educating Women Scholarship) Conference Attendee Program

NWIR is honored to offer for a third year the scholarship program for first-time contractor attendees to NWIR Day and the 2021 IRE and NRCA Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.  This program is designed to encourage first-time attendees who work for a contractor to experience the benefits of professional development in the roofing industry.  Attendance at these events can influence one’s career trajectory and benefit not just the attendee, but her company/employer as well.

Lisa Willett, Operations Manager
Twin City Roofing, St Paul, MN

With over 20 years of industry experience, as the Operations Manager, Lisa Willette is responsible for Recruitment, Training, Development, Planning & Execution of all Departments (Sales, Production, Marketing, Accounting). Twin City Roofing is a 3rd Generation Family Owned & Operated General Contractor for over 45 years. She is proud to be a 2nd Generation family member. They focus primarily on replacement contracting for roofs, exterior façades (siding, trim, gutters) and replacement windows both in the Residential and Commercial markets. They are located in St Paul, MN where they service the Minneapolis/St Paul and surrounding suburbs. They currently 11 FT Employees (office/sales staff). For roofing, they primarily install Shingles, Metal, EPDM/PVC/Durolast roofs for both Residential and Commercial clients.

Breianna Dahl, Marketing Manager
Northeast Wisconsin & Tulsa OK, Roof Medics

Breianna Dahl is the marketing manager for Roof Medics, a Commercial Roof Repair, and Restoration Company located in Northeast Wisconsin and Tulsa Oklahoma. Breianna grew up around her family’s roofing company but never expected to work for the family business. It was only after graduating during the Covid-19 pandemic, that Breianna decided to focus on growing her resume and accepted a position with the family roofing company. Since joining the roofing industry, Breianna has become a licensed drone pilot, started a roofing podcast, joined NWIR, and recently started an NWIR council in Wisconsin.

Sarah Lechowich, CEO and Founder
True North Roofing, Cottage Grove, MN

Sarah Lechowich is CEO and Founder of True North Roofing. While Sarah is a third-generation residential contractor, roofing was not her first calling. Before founding True North Roofing, Sarah worked as the senior director for Construction Careers Foundation, the program director for Trading UP, a Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity commissioner for the City of Saint Paul, and as an adjunct faculty member with North Hennepin Community College. Her internal compass has pointed to her True North within residential exterior construction. She believes when we tap into our intuition and passions, we find clarity of purpose. And that it is through connecting with others that we find our direction. Sarah is excited to grow her vision and company while learning from other women and men.

Lisa Conti
USA General Contractors Corp. 

Lisa Conti, has an 8-year-old son Gage and a 14-year-old stepdaughter, Hailey. Currently, she is a Foreman for USA General Contractors Corp., she started roofing 2 years ago. Within that time she has grown rapidly in her profession with the mentoring of their service manager Ralph Bartolomeo as well as her husband Anthony Trabucco who introduced them into roofing. Before she started her career in the roofing industry her professions consisted of a licensed repossession agent and service mechanic. Roofing has definitely been a learning experience as she continues to learn more and more each day from many different aspects and areas of the industry.
