NWIR SEATTLE – SHEBUILD UPDATE!
Through the partnership of Rebuilding Together South Sound, SheBuilds is a power collaboration between neighbors and partners who provide critical repairs for women-headed households and women-focused community spaces to empower women to maintain safe and healthy homes. The women and men that volunteer for the women-led She Build Teamwork to create a supportive community network to continue the advancement in training and opportunities.
This year we have we had an epic team of roofing companies, suppliers, and volunteers put their resources together to complete a full two-layer roof removal and new GAF Shingle system installed.
GAF graciously donated all the shingles and accessories needed through the help of Convoy Supply to get it loaded on the roof. Chinook Roofing, Fields Roof Service and SQI, Inc., and Propel Insurance put their resources together to cover the remaining materials, roof removal, installation, and equipment. We had our team out of the Seattle Chapter show up and show out with the help of Girl Scout Troop 44532!
Thank you to those all those who volunteered and sponsored the event this year. We are thrilled we were able to help Ms. Betty and cannot wait for April 2022 for our next SheBuilds!
