November Meeting Highlights Financial Wellness

The key message shared by guest speaker Erin Hoffman, of Certified Financial Services centered on taking a holistic approach to your finances by combining objective asset management with protection solutions. She shared her wisdom in a Zoom meeting, Friday, November 12, with the members of the Northern NJ council.

Erin specializes in helping women entrepreneurs feel confident. She talked about the importance of developing goals and outlined the basics of financial literacy. Beginning with “The Living Balance Sheet®” approach to financial management Erin shared the four domains of your financial life: Protection, Assets, Liabilities, and Cash Flow. She gave the attendees confidence that no matter where you were in your life’s journey, having a plan and working towards your goal is the best path to financial wellness.
Financial independence is so important for women of all circumstances. It’s one of the major reasons abused women remain in difficult circumstances. Erin’s message is so timely and supports the councils’ “Season of Gratitude” Campaign for the Center for Hope and Safety Domestic Violence Shelter. Collections are ongoing at both GAF and PB Roofing and will continue through December 15, 2021. Contact Lynn Picone, Wendy Lucas, or any board member for a list or other details on desired donations.
The council meets again for their 3rd annual Christmas Party planned as the first in-person get-together since the pandemic began. Slated for December 15th at the Grand Saloon in Clifton, NJ the group will repeat its 2019 pre-pandemic celebration with a white elephant gift exchange sharing small gifts that celebrate empowered women.
