John DeRosa is the Director of Contractor Training & Business Development at SRS Distribution. John has a wealth of experience in the sales and contractor training space – helping professional contractors maximize their business opportunities.
Over the course of his career, John has facilitated more than 3,000 seminars throughout the United States and Canada. In his twenty-plus years’ experience he has authored several educational programs including The Contractor Survival Program, How Gross Is Your Net?, Sales Dynamics for Contractors, and The Sales Acceleration Program. We all know that focusing on diversity in hiring can have a significant positive impact on your company’s bottom line, and this is especially true when it comes to building your sales team. Unfortunately, sales is too often seen as a male-driven industry, where aggressive alpha-types rise to the top. But buying into that stereotype when you’re hiring can be detrimental to a team’s performance, especially when you consider the range of communication and relationship-building skills that are required to generate success in a modern sales environment.
In this talk, John will build on his experience to highlight the challenges sales people face and the reasons why women may be better suited to overcome those challenges. We will also highlight the different ways women may need to step outside of their comfort zone to help win the sale and rise to the top of their sales team.
