The challenges and opportunities of running a successful family business as a fourth-generation female.
Cheryl Chapman is the General Manager for Empire Roofing, Inc., which is a commercial roofing company founded in Fort Worth, TX in 1982. Empire Specializes in re-roofing, repair, and maintenance on commercial and industrial buildings, along with below and above grade waterproofing.
As General Manager, Mrs. Chapman is responsible for allocating budget resources, formulating policies, coordinating business operations, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, engaging with vendors, hiring employees, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities.
Before taking the position as General Manager, Mrs. Chapman was in Sales and estimating for Empire roofing for 15 years. She enjoyed building relationships with clients and ensuring the Empire provided the value every client deserves.
In 2008, Mrs. Chapman became a partner in Empire Texas Equities, a commercial real estate investment firm. Founded in 1990, Empire Texas Equities is primarily focused on the acquisition and development industrial real estate. Empire Texas Equities currently has over 750,000 square feet and over 225 acres primarily in North Texas.
Empire Texas Equities is currently developing a new 200,000 square foot flex industrial park in South Fort Worth (Sun Valley Industrial Park), with 130,000 square feet complete or in delivery.
