NWiR is so fortunate to be supported by other not-for-profit associations, non-governmental organizations, and business coalitions. We seek these colleagues both in and outside the roofing industry, in adjacent industries, those that represent women in male-dominated fields and those that we have issues in common with.
I’m so excited to announce that we’ve recently added the organizations of Chicagoland Women in Roofing (CWIR) and the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) to our list of “Industry Colleagues.” CWIR (a committee of the Chicago Roofing Contractors Association) is an organization focused on inspiring women to get involved and contribute their knowledge and experience. NAWIC is committed to championing women to impact the direction of the construction industry; and provides education, community and advocacy for women. We will be cross-promoting each other’s events, sharing news articles, and supporting each other as women working in male-dominated fields.
