Community Service comes from the heart and boy does this one touch our hearts. His Hope House is located where in the home where the movie “My Girl” was filmed in Bartow, Florida. They are a non-profit to help women have another option in raising their children. The goal of this 1-year stay will help empower and equip these women to be self-sustained and giving their child a different life than they had. Through the community working together to assist in career services, financial literacy, parenting classes, as well as nutrition, cleaning, and counseling these women will be able to stand and support their child and generations to come. It will house 6 women at a time with each having their own room suite and shared living space. The NWiR Tampa Council recently joined forces with Millennium metals, Suncoast Roofers Supply, Musick Roofing and Beacon Building Supply to assist with the materials to get the original metal roof replaced. Coming together as a community is key to ensure the success of these parents and children.
