Members met in the first “virtual” regroup in several months to review open council seats, the upcoming WORLD Award nominations, and the opportunity to” just connect”. The last three meetings have been in person and after an August hiatus, the council met virtually on September 30, 2022. The NWiR Northern New Jersey Council partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County in Westwood, New Jersey to help with their latest build, a 3-bedroom home in Hillsdale, NJ. 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of the Habitat organization of Bergen County where they have built or renovated 100 homes, housing over 200 family members.
