Christine Mockenhaupt
To be recognized as a Woman of Outstanding Roofing Leadership Distinction is more than excelling at her roofing career objectives, the WORLD Award is about the whole woman: what she brings to her customers and colleagues, the women in her industry through her service to National Women in Roofing (NWIR) and her community…its about her professional and personal self.
This year, especially with the challenges we faced with Covid-19, our 2021 WORLD Award veteran, Christine Mockenhaupt (SRS Distribution) excelled beautifully in all three areas. Out of a field of 7 phenomenal candidates from across the country through a blind review and voting process, Christine’s commitment to family, community, her career and our four (4) pillars (Education, Mentorship, Recruitment, and Networking) deemed her our most worthy recipient.
In a career that began in 2006 as a manager of Finance for Allied Building Products, Christine excelled to become their Divisional Controller for External Product Operations in 2013. In 2014 She earned her MBA at Mont Clair State University, and during her company’s merger in 2018, transitioned to become the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager in her home state of New Jersey. In 2019 she was successfully recruited by SRS Distribution as the Financial Planning Analysis Manager of their Northeast and MidAtlantic regions, and just this year she was promoted to Regional Operations Controller of their East Division.
Her energy to our industry and the women in it is never-ending. Christine was instrumental in the development and growth of the NWIR Jew Jersey council as their Chair from 2017-2020. Today she remains an active force and valued member and friend to all. Upon turning the council over to their new Chair in 2020, Christine accepted her invitation to serve on the NWIR Board of Directors as the Vice-Chair of the Councils Committee.
To her family and community, Christine is an avid supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as a volunteer member and trainer, participating in a variety of physical events. Christine is also a dedicated fan and supporter of her local school’s girls’ softball team, of which her daughter is a member, and an avid visitor of the Happiest Place on Earth, known to visit Disney World at the drop of a hat!
As you can see, Christine truly embodies what a Woman of Outstanding Roofing Leadership Distinction is all about, professionally and personally. While we celebrate Christine this year, we are sure she would encourage you as we do, to look within your council, your company and our industry for women who embody these qualities for future WORLD Award candidates.
